Convenience
Located in Oakland's sunny West Clawson neighborhood, West End Commons
is easily accessible to just about everything in the Bay Area. All major
freeways are a short drive away, and a number of BART stations and AC
transit lines are nearby.
Culture
Dining and entertainment abound and the shopping is virtually limitless
— with fashion, electronics, home goods, and everything in between
available in nearby Emeryville or in Oakland's Rockridge or Jack London
Square neighborhoods. The Jazz House at Yoshi's hosts a full line-up of
live jazz performances, and the Paramount Theatre offers concerts, touring
theater, and classic films. See our map for all
the local highlights.
Character
A diverse group of artists, craftspeople, and designers has been living
and working here for decades and adds an energy that's not found in many
places. You'll spot colorful mosaics, whimsical ironwork, and vibrant
gardens as you travel through the neighborhood.
A new stretch of the San
Francisco Bay Trail runs right along Mandela Parkway, with landscaped
open space punctuated by oak trees. This bike- and pedestrian-friendly
trail is part of a planned 400-mile network that will connect West End
Commons with the entire Bay Area. |
